Small Mistakes That Can Lead to Big Subscriber Problems
Are you interested in Internet marketing? Where do you start and how do you make it work for you? Building a solid list is essential to any The List Edge online marketer’s success. Have you tried to build a list but very few, if anyone at all, joined? List building takes time and staying power. Many people give up before their effort bears fruit. While building your list, simple mistakes can happen very easily, and if they aren’t corrected, they could prevent your Internet marketing career from taking off all together. Building a targeted list of subscribers is the single, most important tool you’ll use so it’s imperative you know how. Try not to get caught up in the money making hype found online. Just build a responsive list of subscribers who will trust you and buy what you sell them. What you’ll find out in this article are the mistakes people make when they begin to build a targeted list of subscribers.
Many The List Edge marketers are confused about one question – how often is it okay to mail your email list? A common error many newbies make is that they either email too much, or not enough. “Should I send an email every day, or limit them to about one per week?” Like I said, you need to strike a balance between mailing them often enough so that they don’t forget you and blame you for spam, and not mailing them too much to an extent that they get annoyed. Your content is the determining factor as to how often you should email. If you are providing information which they find useful, you should not receive complaints regardless of the frequency of your mailings. Before long, they may even rely on you as their ONLY source for this information. Alternatively, if you only contact them one time per month, it is possible that they will simply forget about you. What you need to remember is that moderation is the best path to follow. Although people may be very interested, once-a-day emails can still get monotonous. Limiting your emails to about two or three per week is generally best.
Another classic blunder that some online The List Edge businesses commit is having their “JOIN HERE” button somewhere on the bottom half of the web-page. You need to place the opt-in box such that a person landing on your site is not required to scroll down to locate it. It must be immediately recognizable. When it falls below the computer screen upon opening your page, many people will have no clue where to go next. Remember that some people are just not very computer savvy, and we can’t take for granted that they’ll just understand. You have to keep both the kinds of people in mind – ones who know what they’re doing and don’t need to be guided and the others who literally have to be shown the way and instructed on what to do.
Finally, compiling your list requires more than a little effort and time, but the final outcome is worth all your trouble. There are numerous people who have been unsuccessful due to their setting aside the basics and opting for the path of least resistance. Naturally, you will come across people who complain a lot, days you won’t get any response at all, and so on. However, it will all be worth it once you see that you are generating The List Edge money at will.
